Day 17 - Avila Beach, CA - 10/05/11

Avila Beach, California was unreal. The show was held at the Avila Beach golf course right on the Pacific Ocean. From 5pm into the night the bass could be felt throughout the 18 holes as it bounced around the canyons surrounding the course. The ecstatic crowd quickly sprinted towards the stage as soon as the call was made to open doors. It's not everyday that you get to see Tiesto at your hometown let alone overlooking the Pacific Ocean while dancing on a golf course.  Everyone in attendance made sure to milk every second of their night with the talented Porter Robinson and iconic Tiesto. They both fed off the crowds energy and both played some of their newer music which made the crowd go crazy.  We're not sure if it was the surrounds or just that the Avila Beach locals and Cal Poly students wanted to make this night extra special but whatever it was - these guys partied and danced harder than any other crowd on the College Invasion Tour.  We overheard locals saying how they could hear the music resonating through the canyons all the way into the sleepy town of Avila Beach a few miles away.  To check out what happened when the College Invasion Tour showed up to rock Cal Poly in the canyons of California, click the links below!

Day 16 - Davis, CA - 10/04/11

UC Davis showed Tiësto and crew their game face. It started slow, but the youthful crowd filled up the UC Davis arena by the time Porter Robinson took the stage. The crowd embraced the young 19 year old DJ that warmed up the crowd for the legendary Tiësto. After Porter rocked the crowd until the building nearly collapsed, the rowdy audience was more than ready to see the man himself work his magic in front of the thousands of college kids.  Tiësto came and he conquered the youthful Davis kids with his famous infectious beats.  Tiësto made the young crowd realize why he's the best DJ in the world. Day 15 - Fresno, CA - 10/03/11

Fresno brought out a very youthful and excited crowd! Although Fresno is one of the biggest cities in California they've never hosted Tiësto.  The young college crowd came running in from the doors and danced their way all the way up to the front row to secure their spot for Porter & Tiësto.  After the local DJ warmed up the young crowd, Porter made his way on to the stage to get the party underway.  The young DJ played some newer music he's been making on our tour bus which made the crowd freak out.  The crowd embraced the live Twitter wall on display behind Mr. Robinson - tweeting back and forth in anticipation of seeing Tiësto in their hometown.  After Porter made the building shake with his new beats Tiësto strutted onto stage and took the reigns.  Fresno has a building electronic scene and it was refreshing to see them come out in support of one of the icons.  Tiësto made every human in the place sway to his beats - I saw multiple security guards contagiously bobbing their heads to the legendary DJ's new tunes. Tiësto rocked the crowd and shook the building for over 2 hours and embraced the Fresno crowd as if it was his hometown.  Thank you Fresno for keeping it real - we hope to see you soon! Day 14 - San Diego, CA - 10/02/11

San Diego didn't hold back at all. The weather was perfect and the crowd was ripe with anticipation to see Tiësto work his magic over the college crowd. From the moment that doors opened at 8pm the arena rapidly approached capacity and by the time Porter took the stage the arena was nearly full. The live Twitter Wall was embraced by the youthful SD college crowd as they tweeted back and forth with on another in real time during the long awaited night with Tiësto.  He took the stage at 11pm sharp and instantly put a stranglehold of beats and bass on the sold out crowd. The Tiësto Facebook Photo Booth caught the maximal crazy energy of the fans almost immediately.  Felt like everyone in San Diego showed up for this show.  Multiple times we overhead people revealing that they had been waiting years for Tiësto to come play near their home town.  Massive excitement…and of course Tiësto made sure the San Diego crowd got their money's worth by playing some new tracks in addition to extending his set longer than anticipated.  Two weeks into the tour and not a hint of slowing down…actually it just keeps speeding up.

Day 13 - Austin, TX - 09/29/11

Austin, Texas. You guys rule. You came in firing right as soon as doors opened kids were sprinting to the get the best spot at the front of the stage.  I must've saw at least 10 Tiësto signs (which beats our tour record of 6 thus far). In face both Porter & Tiësto were so psyched on how psyched the crowd was getting that they both extended their sets! Tiësto and Porter both gave this Texan crowd their money's worth and then some. The Austin Music Hall made for an intimate DJ experience for the 4,000+ lucky fans who sold out the event. The point is Texan's go hard and last night was a live example why "You Shouldn't Mess With Texas" especially when they have the world best DJ's new music coursing through your body. 

Tiësto had a visible smile on his face for the entire set which fed the fire of stoke through the Austin college crowd. Thank you Austin for a great night with great fans! Check out the video below and the photos at the link on Tiësto's Facebook.
